The author has over twenty years of experience working in the human services industry, working in government, nonprofit, and now the private sector. A native of Charleston, SC, the author now resides in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she oversees the School of Criminal Justice at a local college. She is a single mother of a teenage son. As a family they enjoy traveling, playing board games, and watching sports. Future plans include completion of a doctoral degree and writing more books.
