Silly Sarah is Victoria Agomo’s maiden publication. She has been writing short stories since age six and was inspired to write her own book a year later, aged seven, after a visit to the renowned author Roald Dahl’s museum in Buckinghamshire, England, UK. She writes about a seven-year-old girl called Sarah Silly, who lives at home with her parents. The Sillys are not very bright, and Sarah especially keeps making lots of mistakes and getting into trouble time after time. The book tells you about some of her experiences. Does she learn a lesson in the end? What do you think?
One lovely day, Sarah and her mother went to the park. Sarah saw a dog, which growled at her; she smiled at the dog. As she was so stupid, she patted the dog on the head. Immediately, the dog bit the palm of her hand. She screamed so loud the whole park went quiet! Her mother heard her cries and ran to Sarah. As she is also silly, she kissed the palm with the dog’s saliva still on it! Eeek, it was disgusting! Nobody else would do a thing like that! Except, of course, the Sillys.
Victoria was born in London, UK. She wrote the book Silly Sarah when she was seven, after a visit to the Roald Dahl Museum in Buckinghamshire, England, which inspired her to become an author. She is an articulate, bright young girl who has always enjoyed expressing herself through words, dance, art, and now writing, which she thoroughly enjoys. She is now eight and lives with her parents and brothers in Hertfordshire, attending school locally.
Congrats! What a good effort from a kid. I recommend this book to all kids and adults. It is inspirational.
