Andrew Nathaniel Nelson's brilliant mind never rested from organizing whatever context he lived in. As a very young man he acquired the title of "Professor" and went on to become an educator and college administrator. A gifted linguist, he worked first as a translator in the U.S. War Department and then in General MacArthur's forces in post-World War II Japan. Afterwards he served as a chaplain during the war-crimes trials in Manila, Philippines. Through his lifetime of overseas service, he unrelentlingly pursued excellence--teaching great truths, nurturing big plans, and setting the highest standards for himself, his colleagues, and his students.
