Florence and Joseph matured during the Depression. In the Just War, Florence worked and prayed; Joseph was a Bomber Pilot over Germany. Fifty years later they were bombed by a shocking transgression.
He enlisted in the Air Corps shortly after Pearl Harbor while a student at Harvard. He became a B-17 Bomber Pilot, stationed in England. He returned to College and played on athletic teams. He went to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating on 1951. He taught there for 40 years, becoming as Associate Professor, while involved in the General Practice of Dentistry for 50 years. On the day after his retirement he started a new career of writing.
