Barbara Small, M.A. has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counselling. She is also trained as a Life Coach. She has been working with clients in private practice for over a decade. Barb facilitates workshops on various topics; including assertiveness skills, group facilitation skills, positive self-talk and communication skills. She also teaches Counselling Support Skills at the local college. Barb lives and works in Victoria, BC.

In this book she shares with the readers her personal journey to becoming assertive. Barb also shares the practical knowledge she has learned over a decade of working with clients in private practice and in workshops. She presents her ideas using humour and examples that we can all relate to.
