Rather than advocating a singular belief in any one system, a study and understanding of no less than three are encouraged by the age of 18 or 21 as a rite of passage to majority status (page 237). This approach will increase the probability of a formation, development and maintenance of mindfulness, the sine qua non or absolute prerequisite, to sound choice-making at all times, in all places. Polymathical educational philosopgy tends to encourage exploration beyond the three standard deviations into the realm of the infinite along both wings or asymtopes of the bell-curve. As Prof. Isaiah Berlin wrote, "the only freedom to which knowledge contributes is freedom from illusion (page 218). It seems that only our firmly clenched and gripped attachment to illusions exceeds our grasping material possessiveness. This uniquely human trait and tendency for self-inflicted wounds should be necessary and sufficient cause for teaching and cultivating self-knowledge or mindfulness throughout life leading to serenity based upon confidence in and integrity of self-identity coupled with a sense of belonging.

There are two diametrically different wolds on earth. One is well defined by the high quality of life resulting from wealth and a high living standard, the other the exact opposite. The two run in parallel, the latter dreaming of the former, but the former rarely thinking of the latter. In these two so different worlds people view their problems and those of others through their individual cognitive map. Those lucky to live well view the problems of the others, the unlucky, as non-consequential to them. Disease, hunger, crime, drug abuse, strife and death from misery and war are the problems of those others becoming of consequence to the lucky only when they are not easily bypassed. Even then, the lucky think of the unlucky as that they are themselves the causes of their troubling misery. In past centuries the latter was resulting from their inferiority as people and races. Today misery is a problem caused by their backwardness, lack of education, corruption and lack of ability to manage their lives and social affairs. Apparently, they never cease to be the causes of chaos and social or medical epidemics. In the minds of westerners they are the victims of their democratically weak states and tyrant leaders followed without resistance. But democracy and a strong state are bought by real money, and this money belongs to the West exploiting for centuries the limited resources of the planet. When the poor live in misery, threatening the rich with revolution, terrorism or fundamentalism, the rich look for ways to divert chaotic-anarchy and epidemics from their backdoor, and use it to keep busy those threatening them. In this modern world of technologically created perceptions and wars, life for the lucky seems worthy of protection. They spend wealth for life's protection and prolongation, promising the same to those whose have yet to experience even the very minimum pleasure of food and shelter. What is and who are responsible for the future of the lucky world and the misfortune of the unlucky? This book analyses briefly the role of state in the management of the social problems, chaotic-anarchy and epidemics. It analyses capitalism, democracy and their social benefits. It analyses the role of technology, as the right hand of the New World Order, an order that few understand and many wonder about. It analyses the influence of the previous on the definition of epidemic disease in history, today and the future, proposing new semantic terms to describe it and looking for the factors defining them. It analyses the source of factors defining epidemics that is really the low standard of living causing competition for the limited wealth on earth, thus chaotic-anarchy and its consequence socioeconomic epidemics. Poverty is the permanent social condition of 80% of earth's exponentially increasing population. A poor mass of people searching survival by overexploiting their environment limited not only by their numbers, but also voracious transnational corporations, media for wealth accumulation by Western and westernized capitalists. A wounded environment by the byproducts of civilization and modernity is endangered further by the survival needs of most people on earth. Those exhausted by their effort to live in the countryside, poor and dying, move in places promising them the fulfillment of some of their dreams. They migrate to where wealth seems tangible either knocking on the closed doors of the feudal castles of the few or moving into poor megacities. There, many choke from human congestion and urban misery and its consequences. Few others join the groups cheaply selling them hopes. They become followers of spiritual leaders teaching them to claim their perceived rights in life, or crime groups seeking their perceived happiness coming from wealth. Both need the means to fight for their perceived causes, and war technology promises them success. Amongst the means to fight future wars minute biological weapons waiting for chaotic-anarchy to cause epidemics to the enemy. What is then the History of the 21st Century and who will manage it?

Good Over Evil is a masterpiece of reality of life story, revealing unforgettable human agonies in the colonial racist enslavement in Southern Africa. It highlights racism in action and projects the atrocities of apartheid with vivid accounts of the plights of Africans as meted out by the oppressive system. It is the epitome of man's inhumanity to man and a crime against humanity in the cloak of religion. The outcome of years of research, it is a novel of impelling readability and a sweeping evocation of the South. Immensely powerful in depth and compelling and most of all a memorable history. Being of personal interest to research and analysing the consequences of colonial and racial prejudices imbibed by the imperial racists in Africa, this book forms the first part of a two-part series of the atrocities of Apartheid in Africa. The second part is centered on the frontline states, the destabilization tactics of the racist state and Africa's revolution against the oppressive system. It is a work on its own perspective.

The gist of AHA! is to show that what 21st century humans like doing most is tribal in nature and still based on getting one's DNA into the next generation. We love our car and get great satisfaction from the cell-phone, make McDonald's or Home Depot a roaring success, adore Oprah and tolerate elevator music because not enough generations have gone by to shake off ancient survival behaviour. Eleven chapters take an amusing look at some pretty basic impulses evolved for life in the savannah and how we indulge them today: we love to chew and drink while watching TV; we buy magazines stuffed with illustrated gossip about celebrities; we can't resist adding that pea-green blouse at 70% off regular price to our crammed closet. In the last chapter AHA! concludes that the print culture (though not print) is waning because focussing in solitude on black marks in a line is not the heritage of our still in-control past.

This book is a compilation of the 230 best student essays submitted in English composition classes at the Teachers College of Qingdao University in Qingdao, Shandong, P. R. China, during the spring semester of 2000. The stories were submitted to fulfill assignments given by American instructor, Mark F. Harris, for his students to write about their grandparents, parents, family life and some of their own childhood and school experiences as well as to contemplate the future. In doing research for the essays, a few of the students had the good fortune to interview their grandparents, while many more were able to question their parents. They wrote about times of hardship, sacrifice and deprivation. They gave brief but graphic accounts of the Japanese invasion and occupation of China, the War of Liberation and the founding of modern China, the Cultural Revolution and of hardships associated with famine and poverty. Some of the essays described the common relationships that exist in the traditional Chinese family. In writing about themselves, most students related memorable events of their normal, carefree childhood. They also mentioned encountering frustrations in their growing up and changing years and of competing with classmates in school activities. Almost universally, they wrote about the challenge of preparing for and passing the university entrance examination. Many essays conveyed messages portraying strong cultural values, such as honesty, perseverance, loyalty, devotion, justice and responsibility. Stories depicting situations of great seriousness are balanced with those reflecting childhood innocence and humor. The students wrote in English, which is their second language. Mr. Harris quickly learned there was a unique style to their "Chinese English". They were able to superimpose English over their Chinese language and thought patterns, resulting in writing with less precision and exactness when compared to American usage. Yet, beautiful imagery and poetic expressions seemed to flow naturally. Even though the reader may have no knowledge of the Chinese language, most probably, he will unknowingly be reading "Chinese" when studying these essays. A good example of this beautiful language is expressed in an essay by Liu Ranji (James), who concluded that "a distant place is not only a concept of space, it is a higher pursuit in spirit. The pursuit will be endless, since a distant place is like a beacon that guides my journey in life." The title of the book comes from this essay, since the "pursuit" described by the writer in many ways parallels the author's "pursuit", even in traveling to "a distant place" called China. This timely collection of essays, written by some of China's brightest young people, gives clear insight into a way of life that properly needs to be recorded.

(Spring 2010) Local parents warned about priests and nuns who gang rape and prostitute kids, tweens & teens in directory of clergy perps & pervs in your neighborhood. i missed me after the terror, during the years of unbearable sorrow: trafficking the holy Spirit includes oral journalism of adults raped as kids and a parental directory of priests and nuns who gang rape and prostitute kids, tweens and teens. Book asks Angela Merkel, Michele Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Alessandra Mussolini and Oprah Winfrey to help remove state, federal, civil and criminal statutes of limitation for sexual assault of kids, tweens and teens. Author says, “To protect families we must remove civil, criminal, state & federal statutes of limitation for sexual assault of children by showing parents and legislators cliches of ‘child abuse’ mask violent serial sexual assault and child, tween and teen suicide. The book documents only a few U.S. priests and nuns rape children under 12, serially rape children under 11, gang rape children under 10, sodomize kids under 9, give kids AIDS, get 11 year olds pregnant, abort children and teenagers, ritually abuse kids, sexually assault kids, torture kids, prostitute and murder kids, and abandon their illegitimate children borne of kids they raped ... all at the same 1.5% percentile as perps & pervs in society: of one million Catholic priests worldwide, only 15,000 sexually assault kids and teens; of ten million nuns, only 150,000 are perps & pervs. An appendix, Where are the Children of Table 34?, exposes a study of the ‘scientifically established’ orgasm rates of infants, toddlers, preschool children, kids, tweens and teens cited in proponing today's standards of sex education in the classroom for kids too young to be exposed to sex education and helped set statutes of limitation for rape of women (there had been none) and the shift from rapists being guilty to women having to prove they didn't want to be raped. It likely influenced setting statutes of limitation for clergy crimes of sexual assault of kids, tweens and teens. It has come to light ‘scientists using stopwatches’ to document ‘scientific studies’ – now used to justify premature sexual education of elementary school-aged kids, were conducted by child rapists and child murderers. That is one reason statutes should be removed, or extended to the life of the child, or ‘windowed’, since the ‘objective studies’ were done by perps and pervs. Another reason is, the psychiatric record establishes kids, tweens and teens sexually abused often commit suicide or repress the events for 20-30 years in order to not go crazy. They consequently make bad choices and live sad lives that never would have been, if they had not been sexually molested, assaulted, raped, serially raped, gang raped, prostituted and/or ritually abused. The Greatest Good is a powerful and thought provoking "field book" focusing on bringing integrity and growth to our personal and professional relationships. The authors build the case for the importance of healthy relationships in our corporations and our communities. With any luck, this book will change your life! This book is written in tribute to the pioneering work of Henry Nelson Wieman, 1884-1975. Dr. Wieman was one of the greatest philosophers produced in America. In Man's Ultimate Commitment he wrote profoundly about his Philosophy of Creativity. This book is a humble attempt to re-state the essential concepts of Wieman's thinking in a manner easily understood and applied in our time. We are in a time when we need to hear Dr. Wieman's work. His ideas may help answer the question "what will be the ruling aim of my existence?" Special effort is made to show the practical application of Wieman's writing to the many interpersonal troubles pervasive in our modern organizations and institutions. This is a book about bringing integrity and humility, creativity and appreciation, and trust and boundless growth to our relationships, the companies within which we work and the communities in which we live. The authors offer a new "experiential communication model" and describe the behaviors and outcomes that may result from opposing motivations: hurt-based and worth-based. This is an excellent "field guide" for developing healthy relationships both at home and at work. Several companies have been using the principles from The Greatest Good to build healthy teams and ethics-centered work cultures.
