Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have it all together and get exactly what they want out of life while others just can't seem to get ahead? Some who have pondered this have figured out that there is an easy way to get anything, be anything, and create anything. They stepped out of their "boxes" in life and have opened up intuitively to receive spiritual guidance.

Open Up and Fly! contains very detailed descriptions and exercises for accessing this guidance. The 52 exercises in this book are given in succession from very beginner to intermediate. When practiced thoroughly, these exercises hold the key to living a life of "spiritual luxury." In other words, when we listen to Spirit, we are constantly learning something we didn't know before. When we apply that knowledge to our lives, we get all the answers we are seeking.

The information in this book includes how to relax and meditate, how to access guidance, and how to work with energy. It shows how to use these abilities that we were born with as naturally as breathing. Anyone interested in spiritual development needs to have this information.

Wisdom requires clear vision-the ability to see the things that matter, to pass over the things that don't, and the discernment to know the difference. In a fast-paced world, wisdom is also sometimes not equated with optimism. But is this pessimism about the future wise? Not according to the new book, Optimistic Wisdom: Living in Peace without Worry, by Dr. Srisuda Dhamwichukorn. The waves of wisdom that travel from East to West have a peaceful swell; the ocean of Pacific is peaceful.

The tradition of wisdom taught from the Far East has much to do with discernment. While Western traditions often examine one's place in the world by looking outside first, the Eastern traditions teach the opposite: look first inside, then prepare for whatever adventures the outside may offer. Dr. Dhamwichukorn hints at this complementary view of the two traditions, along with the places where they peacefully interact. A native of Thailand, she grew up in a land of contrasts: sprawling, urban Bangkok has its islands of peace, the havens of shelter from worry that have traditionally housed the most clear-eyed of monks and buddhas. So how do these teachings find wisdom without worry?

A fundamental tenet that often raises questions is the realization that life is suffering. If the future is a path away from worry and towards peace, then many teachers have taught what amounts to a startling starting point. As Dr. Dhamwichukorn writes in easily understandable affirmations, the first shore relieving this ocean of suffering is the knowledge that the path exists in the first place. The path, the discipline, the peaceful mind-these are the refuges of those free from worry. Therein lies the excitement of peace: freedom. Even as adventures present what may appear to be evidence of selfishness, a shortage of love and compassion, and the unforgiving failure to forget those things that don't matter, the freedom of peace persists. That is this book's discerning quality-to balance selfishness with sharing, to meet hate with love, to find peace without worry.

Written in a modern, but simple style, the beautiful book Optimistic Wisdom: Living in Peace Without Worry offers rest and reflection in a troubled ocean. This is a guide filled with optimism. The author, having flown across the Pacific from Thailand to America, refreshingly describes why that ocean between East and West is named for peace itself.

"As a Notre Dame student who plunges headfirst into the individualistic atmosphere of one of the most competitive college campuses in the country, I am admittedly goal-oriented. I know what I want and I am not afraid to take risks to achieve it. However, when this ambitious pursuit borders onto narrow-minded selfishness, I sometimes need to be reminded to slow down and make room for peace of mind-the central message of Dr. Srisuda Dhamwichukorn's new book, Optimistic Wisdom: Living In Peace Without Worry. A native of Thailand, Dr. Dhamwichukorn introduces her collection of straightforward, encouraging affirmations with two calming statements: "The more you give, the more you get" and "The more you chase, the more you worry." As a chronic go-getter and compulsive chaser, these thoughts not only offer a respite from the stresses that come with such unending pursuit, but also provide an appealing simplicity.

The optimism with which Dr. Dhamwichukorn relates her thoughts is at once soothing and welcoming. The book is inviting, inclusive; it does not condemn certain cultures or religions for being less peaceful than others. Rather, it presents a refreshingly clear picture of the goodness, purity, and responsibility that all humans possess-as well as reminders about the distractions that lure us astray from the path to peace. From avoiding pride for oneself to embracing respect for parents, spouses, teachers, and friends, Dr. Dhamwichukorn's wisdom is remarkably insightful and gently instructive. In fact, her peaceful perspective is contagious-when reading this work, worries begin to feel like a waste of time, and taking life one day at a time begins to sound pretty appealing. After a true taste of it, peace of mind becomes tempting as the false friendships, damaging drug- and alcohol-abusive activities, and artificial relationships that Dr. Dhamwichukorn cautions us against-and for a college student consumed by the chase, this dose of peace becomes twice as addictive.

I have been a Life Coach, trainer and mentor for the past ten years and always considered positive affirmations to be an essential element of the work that I did. This book came about as a result of my foray into social networking at the end of 2008. Whilst on these social networks I became aware that people needed some positive comments to help them through the week. Whenever I posted affirmations people were very approving and left positive comments on my status. In time I created a Facebook group to address this need and begun sending weekly affirmations to individuals using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and to a more limited extent, by email. It was then that some people commented that I should publish a book of affirmations. I have chosen to combine my Weekly Affirmations with life coaching especially aimed at people who may have been going through difficult or challenging situations in their lives, such as illnesses, redundancies, facing debt, raising teenagers, or daily battling the traffic to work that they may not like. You can use these affirmations when you want to feel better about yourself by repeating them 7-10 times (out loud if you can), when it is safe to do so, each morning and evening. Each affirmation contained within this book is designed to be repeated and meditated upon each week over a fifty-two week period. There is also the opportunity to keep a journal of your thoughts, lessons and any positive actions or achievements that may have come about as a result of using these weekly affirmations. Your journal as it develops may contribute to your own personal development and growth over the year.

This is an inspirational story of a self-made entrepreneur. In 1956, at the age of 18, Glenn Rehbein started his first business with $500.00 loan from his uncle, a dream, and the passion to see his dream through with the help and support of his wife, Myrna. As his family grew from two to six from 1958 to 1966 so did his business.

Glenn expanded into residential excavation and changed the name of his business form "Lino Sod Company" to "Glenn Rehbein Excavating". Some of Glenn's early entrepreneurial endeavors included Outpost Sport Center, R-Better Homes, R-Best Carrots, and Robark (design and manufacturer of agriculture equipment). Through the years, Glenn's company continued to prosper through real estate development and ever-larger excavation projects around the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. In more recent years, his project list included building and owning golf courses and other major projects around the country.

Throughout Glenn's illustrious 47-year career, he never lost sight of his priorities- God, family and friends. Glenn had always felt blessed by God and he was always eager to share Gods blessings with others. Glenn was always a source of inspiration, wisdom, strength and a never-ending positive attitude even in the most difficult situations.

Over the years, Glenn and Myrna traveled the world and Glenn was never at a loss for friends. Glenn has a unique ability to strike up a conversation with a total stranger and after a few minutes, you would have thought they were friends from childhood. Whenever Glenn went, he was surrounded either by friends, family or by both. Glenn had a magnetic personality and everyone enjoyed being around him. Although, Glenn died in a tragic accident on February 26, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona, his life continues to touch people.

By Therese Haasen

Devastated by her husband's tragic death, Therese Brown slowly managed to pick up the pieces of herself and of her life so that she and her two young children could move forward. As her story unfolds, Therese feels more empowered because the spiritual support that once seemed distant becomes more personal, as she senses the loving presence of Jesus walking with her like a faithful Companion on the Journey™. His healing love is opening her to forge a connection with her own loving essence. Feeling guided to a personalised spiritual development path, she is taking responsibility for her healing and growth in a way that reinvigorates her Christian faith. This book follows one person's journey to wholeness in a way that encourages others to explore their own unique path.

Tapping into our own wise, compassionate and courageous essence, we discover the humble hero within. From this point of integrity, we are able to answer the call to heal the wounding when fear entices us into traps which limit us to a smaller sense of self. Although these traps seem to impede our journey to wholeness, we discover that there is treasure to be gleaned from them. Feeling humbled by fear we open to God's love - accepting our weakness and developing our strength.

Connected with our heart's warm, nurturing essence, humility calls us home to accept even the most fearful parts of ourselves. Like heroes, we love these parts into maturity, responding to the call to remove inner and outer fences that would force us to live within a narrow range of our truth. While acknowledging a limiting self-perception, humble heroes look honestly at fear without allowing it to limit or define us. Breathing down into our heart, we choose to act today from a place that knows we are so much more, drawn forward by an integrated, visionary view that reflects a deeper sense of our truth. We come into step with ourselves as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, who accepts our fragility yet challenges us to stretch and grow when He strikes out on a steeper path. When we become aware of our capacity to create lives that go beyond perceived limitations, the Gifts for the Journey that God entrusts us with take on the appearance of a custom-designed vehicle of growth that facilitates our journey to wholeness. We are rewarded when a clearer sense of self allows us to use our life energy more consciously, as we make life choices that respond to our life experiences.

EPIC Journeys™ are not perfect journeys. Instead they are vibrant, colourful and real - like a beautiful weaving that incorporates our every success, failure, tribulation, and celebration - a visual representation of all that we think, experience, hope or fear. The weaving tells the story of our EPIC Journey, our Empowered Passionate Integrated Choices woven together like beautiful threads. Darker strands represent choices driven by fear and lighter ones symbolise those brimming with love - both contribute to its splendour. A special glow emanates from threads of silver and gold, revealing those times when we are able to answer our soul's call. When the Holy Spirit fans the flames of these sacred messages conveyed to us through our soul, it is impossible to ignore them. When we weave our values, passions and most fervent desires into our lives, they become the heart that beats at the centre of our EPIC Journey.

Many researchers have agreed that most of the population is operating on only 10-15 per cent of their God-given potential. The rest never comes to light because of the darkness and shadows cast by the whole process of "preparing kids for life".

    All the...

      "You'll never make it"
"You're too dumb, too fat, too lazy"
"You're just like ___ and he didn't do it either"
"Don't get your hopes up, you'll only be disappointed"
      And on and on-
...taught us that life was crazy, fearful, threatening, waiting to screw us up. And we'd never be competent enough to make it work.
Obviously, not everyone has these kinds of experiences-or did we?

Let the book help you explore how it happened for you and then let go of those old paradigms, those false belies and the poor assumptions we accumulated along the way. Replace them with your own optimism, your own intuition and your conscious awareness that you were really designed to thrive, to enjoy, to succeed and now you can.

    Go for it!

I KNOW THAT ANYONE CAN BE ON OR IN THE EXPERIENCES ON THESE PAGES, I KNOW THAT ALL WISE SOULS HAVE TRAVELED THIS PATH AND THAT IS WHERE WISDOM COMES FROM, I KNOW THAT LOVE, SPACE AND SUPPORT PAVE THAT ROAD SO IT CAN BE TRAVELED IN LOVE AND THAT IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.
