This book is for all those of us who love the Lord Jesus: because this whole topic is an issue that deeply concerns every one of us, and it really matters. Is there indeed a sin we treat as a virtue? Could this possibly be true of us, of me?
If there is something basic in biblical teaching about the way I live that is somehow slipping past me, then I want to do something about this. I will be eager to learn what it is, so that I can bring my life into line with the will and plan of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit: because of my love for the Lord Jesus - who said to his disciples, “If you love me, you will do what I command you” (John 14:15). And he said to those who claim to be his disciples, “How can you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things that I tell you?” (Luke 6:17, 46.)
Yes, there is a sin we are treating as a virtue.
This sin is greed—sheer plain greed. Coveting. The comfortable, respectable, sin. But the extremely dangerous and damaging sin. It is condemned by the Tenth Commandment. It is the sin Christ spoke against more often and more vehemently than any other— he warned against it in the strongest possible terms: “Beware! Take care! Watch out!” It chokes the Word of God in your life, he said. It hinders a person entering the Kingdom of God and deprives them of eternal life. That is how serious it is. Paul said that greed is a form of idolatry and can destroy a person. He found this sin sneaky, tricky, and insidious. The risk to us from this sin is all the worse because it is so often not recognized as sin. It is so all-pervasive that we do not actually see its deceitful danger. But statistics show it is insidiously at work in the church, seriously affecting its work and witness in the world.
It is a trap and a snare that can so easily catch us quite unawares. Breaking free of it is in fact one of the most difficult issues we face in our Christian lives. Can anything be done about this? Yes! It is crucial that we become aware of what the Bible says about it, and then think through how to live our lives in accordance with biblical teaching.
This book will point to all the relevant Scriptures. Can you afford not to heed what they say? They just might save you from spiritual disaster. Don’t treat this lightly. Jesus didn’t. Paul didn’t.
The movie The Passion of The Christ dramatically conveyed the price that Jesus paid on the cross to redeem the sins of the world. John Webb Kline's new book, I Could Use a Miracle Right Now, profoundly brings the message of the cross and what it means to us in the 21st century into perspective in a way that few books can. It is a story about one man's life-long encounter with the Living Christ--a story that one might call, The Passion of the Christian. It is a must-read for any true seeker of truth or follower of Christ.
Author John Webb Kline describes his inspiring new book as a Workingman's Theology-a theology that helps us to find God in the midst of our everyday struggles and which helps us to make sense out of the seemingly senseless trials and tribulations we all face. Based on stories from his own, often tumultuous, yet miracle-filled life, Webb brings us to the amazing discovery that, not only is God's intervention for our lives real, but it is also there for each and everyone of us-hidden only by our rational worldviews and unbelief. This is a book about hanging on to faith when it would seem perfectly reasonable not to; a book for the faithless and faithful alike; it is a book for those who are feeling so hurt, so angry, or so left out of God's will that they have nothing left but the desire to curse God and die. In today's world, it very well could be your own handbook for survival.
Heart to Hand Ministries director, Woody Wolfe has this to say about I Could Use a Miracle Right Now: "Webb is able to take us on that journey to see the true miracles that are the reality of our everyday lives even when the world had blurred our vision. Webb's uncanny ability to put into words, that which is at the heart of the true Gospel message, has been such a blessing to me. I wish this book would have been around during those first days of my full-time ministry when I was still looking to the world for affirmation. To truly understand that God is already knocked out about us, gives us the freedom to be just who we are and Webb has brought that vision of the uncompromising love of God to these pages."

As you learn about life, you know that an encounter with death is in your future. Most of us don't know when that moment will come. This book presents a collection of short stories based on actual events of death encounters and life threatening situations. The stories are told from the spiritual perspective of the authors Christian Beliefs. With the exception of the Georgia State Trooper in a senseless act of violence, the names of the characters and places have been fictionalized by the author. Any similarities to actual events, any person or place is strictly confidential.
The fictional story, running out of time, reveals the drama of a bad decision by a police officer and the horrible consequences repaid on his close friends, who try to help him out in a jam. All of the fictional stories were constructed from the author's imagination and based on hid Christian religious education and reading the holy bible.
The book is divided into three different parts. Part 1 is an introduction and a brief history of marriage from the Old Testament until today. Part II covers the essential components of a relationship that are discussed in this part are Self Concept, Love?, Communication, Perception, Need and Motivation, Values, Recognize your Spouse, Games Couples Play, Conflict Resolution, Natural Family Planning. This part ends with a marriage evaluation that assists in determining how successful a marriage is. Part III touches on the complicated area of psychiatry. It explains how psychiatric problems can be understood and treated in married life and thus makes it more interesting and meaningful.
Jay Bowers delivers a very positive book about being ready for and waiting to go to Heaven. Each chapter brings to life the visualization of the most positive destination possible: Heaven. As a young boy the author lived a "Tom and Huck" life around the stream that flowed through his grandparent's farm. Going to Heaven: Ready and Wating gives multiple examples of God given guidance during each stage of his life. Filled with humor, sadness, and impossible situations, Going to Heaven: Ready and Wating never loses dignity as it weaves through the possibilities of a better life for the reader as experienced by the author.
Let's say we take away the Bible, the Torah, the Qur'an, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Book of Mormon...all the teachings of the many religions in the world. We lock them all up and no one is allowed to read or discuss their contents. What would people do without 'evidence' that their teachings are the only correct ones, delivered by their God to their prophets and holy men? How would they determine what was right or wrong in God's judgement?
Let's say people then had to rely on listening to the 'still, small voice of God' speaking directly into their hearts. Let's say they would need to learn to trust their own God-given instincts in the question of right and wrong, good and bad, true or untrue.
Imagine people with nothing written down to tell them who God is and what he expects of them - no books they can use for reassurance that they are truly God's chosen ones - no words they can refer to that say everyone who believes differently is an infidel or a heathen of a Godless savage. What if people did not feel the need to be superior to other people, or to convince them of the error of their beliefs?
The hopeful message the author offers lies in his own healing and growth...his journey. It reveals an undeniable truth about society's lack of compassion, understanding and love toward each other. We need spirituality, along with each other's respect for individuality.

For the single person who desires to be married someday where do they start? How does my lifestyle affect my relationship with God, my singleness and my eventual marriage? What about sex, what is marriage all about and how do I prepare for it?
Covers a wide range of issues from knowing who you are to knowing God's plan for your life, from learning how to make godly decisions to grasping the whole concept of marriage. If you are a single Christian or not and you are contemplating marriage then this is the book for you. Have you ever wondered if there was more to being a Christian than what you have experienced in your Christian life? Is the average Christian in the average Christian church being all that he or she can and should be for Christ? What more should you be than you are now being for God? Can you really know Him better, follow Him more closely, and be a happier more content Christian than you are now? Is it possible to be "a genuine disciple" of Jesus in this day and time? What is spiritual maturity? Am I spiritual?
If you have pondered questions such as these, then this book is probably for you. The author establishes the five progressive levels of spiritual maturity for the Christian straight from the pages of Scripture. You will confront the Biblical terms and descriptions of these five levels of spiritual maturity, and see where you are on the spiritual spectrum. The author postulates that there is no secret or mystery concerning spiritual maturity. All you need is the knowledge of it, the will to do what God has called you to do, the dedication to do it,- and most of all- God's promised and powerful help in doing it.
You can be a disciple of Jesus in today's world. But it takes a "trust and obey" attitude, a prayerful desire, and a purposeful yielding to God to do it. This book will help point you in that way.
Dear Reader: In these articles I make no claim as to great Spiritual Revelation. Personally, as I wrote these words down, my spirit was opened up and refreshed. For many years I felt that the designation, "Christian", was a confining, restrictive way of life. Men in times past had defined the rules of what it meant to be a "Christian", and for as long as I can remember, people have been "going 'round and 'round the Mulberry Bush" hoping they all get "caught up" somewhere. I am dissatisfied with the status quo, as far as the Kingdom message is concerned. There seems to be no real desire to push the envelope, so to speak. I am convinced; we have not nearly explored the vastness of Kingdom experience. If you donÕt want to be challenged in your doctrine, donÕt read this book. If you think you already know everything you need to know, and your mind is closed, it wonÕt do you any good to read it anyway. If you do read it, peacefully, you might find a nugget or two of Truth you didnÕt know existed.
My prayer for all who love God is; we will all strive for the ultimate of what God has to offer, without prejudice or self-promotion.
This book was inspired in the search for the truth regarding what happened to the Sabbath Day gift given from God to his people. Throughout the search, the key principal was to stick primarily to all information regarding the subject based solely on what God's word said or did not say regarding his gift.
The book starts from the beginning and works systematically throughout God's word from Old Testament to the New Testament. Much care was taken to analyze logically what God's word had to say regarding the Sabbath gift.
The purpose of the book reveals all from the creation, purpose, and future of one of the greatest gifts that God gave to his people.
This generation of parents are better educated and most probably the richest in history but most parents have grown to embrace the fact that the material gain from their labour outweighs everything to the point of setting aside their godly responsibility to their family. The sphere of materialism is so strong that they become disillusioned about the importance of moral and spiritual values. The original intention of building a strong Christian family foundation becomes secondary. Do not ignore the signs of the times: the Christian family is in extreme danger of losing its identity. We need help! The Christian family needs help!
The book covers those vital elements in building and maintaining a strong Christian family foundation. You'll discover how to reinforce relationships by clearly illustrating the complementary roles of each member of the family, use your God-given responsibility to build a strong foundation for your home on the rock-solid wisdom, love and understanding, promote the total development and preservation of the family, identify potential family problems and overcome crisis, and learn, act, and teach family values and create strong Christian legacy.
Unless we go back to the very foundation of a loving home ruled with wisdom and understanding, with Jesus Christ and the center, the proliferation of commercialism, peer pressure and the obligations imposed by society will press on.
You need to invest time and do your homework.
The Last Chess Game or How To Be A Winner is a fictional game of chess incorporating God's salvation plan. It reveals the way God enables us to be victorious in both life and death. The game is annotated. Also included are two fictional short stories written by students.
Does the Bible tell us specifically what heaven will be like? What will the new earth and the capital city, New Jerusalem, be like? Is heaven a real, physical place or just some kind of spiritual realm unlike anything on earth? What will people look like in heaven? What will we do forever and ever? Will there be buildings, families, nations in heaven? What language will we speak? Where is heaven? Will we see God there?
Find answers to these and over 300 questions you've always wanted to ask about Heaven. This easy-to-read book is based on doctoral research, but written for the layman to present a Biblical picture of what life in eternity will be like. My hope is to bring new excitement and understanding to the average person in the pew, as well as to the Bible scholar. Perhaps it will even encourage those who do not believe everything in the Bible but do believe in a heaven.
Yes, I believe the Bible tells us much about what Heaven will be like. Eden, the tabernacle, the promised land, the kingdom parables, the millennial kingdom, the church, all paint a picture of eternity. Many of the great themes and teachings of Scripture present, at the very least, a type or taste of what Heaven will be like.
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things wich God hath prepared for the that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit" (1 Cor 2:9,10).
Life is short and full of troubles. The good things of this world are so temporary. They are but a taste of better, eternal things to come. Only those things which last forever are real and worthwhile. But how can you look forward to something you know little about? I hope this book will fill in some of those blanks for you, encourage you to read God's Word, and give you a taste of heaven.
What does it mean to be a "polished character?" It means that you are a jewel in the eyes of Jesus. You are being polished and made more beautiful, as you grow in your walk with Him. In A Polished Character you will discover that this is a process, not something we arrive at instantaneously.
Jesus longs to continue His work in our lives. Yet we must do our part, in order to become more like Him. You will learn what it means to be a willing vessel, how to endure the refining process we go through, how to be strengthened with Christ and so much more. Most of all, you will learn the importance of making Jesus your first love.
Is morality real? Is there a universal morality that exists beyond opinion and circumstance?
If evolution is correct, then the answer to these questions is an obvious and unequivocal "NO." If Darwin was right, then what we call morality is simply the physical result of billions of random accidents, and that is that.
This simple truth is at the root of the decay and despair that surrounds us. Grasping this fact allows those of us who believe in a supernatural source of morality to better love and minister to those lost in the moral wasteland that Darwinism inevitably leaves behind. For those who do not believe in the supernatural, this book will show how irrational it is to cling to the impossible notion of morality as truth, and, perhaps, give them a better understanding of the overwhelming cacophony of moral views that we find in our modern world.
In Roots of Despair, you will...
Investigate the most obvious flaws in the theory of evolution. What if Darwin was wrong?
Examine a theory of God that more closely explains what many (if not most) people believe.
Learn about "The tragedy of what is", and how it affects every aspect of our modern life. What if Darwin was right?
Come to understand that the biblical Christian response to those caught up in the hopelessness of today's moral relativism is not politics or name calling, but the simple, sincere response of Christ Himself: Unwarranted, unconditional, unlimited love - WDJD?
If you find yourself wondering how things got so bad, and what you can do about it, then this book belongs in your library.
