God inspired me to write this book because many people are walking around professing to be Christians but living a defeated life; Christians with no power - unable to help others going through various trials in their life because they have not matured in the Word. In this book, it is my desire to help build the Body of Christ through teaching the fundamentals of salvation and allow you to see it requires action on your part. It is our faith that causes the hand of God to move in our lives. I have used the New King James Version, as well as, the New Living Version interchangeably to help people of all ages and intellect to understand what God requires and how maturity in His word is important. May this book bless your life as God has blessed me throughout the years.

"God sent his Son Jesus to become like us so we can become like Him". Man has been trying to communicate with each other since the beginning of time. Yet, with all the advanced technology at our fingertips we continue to struggle hearing and understanding what is actually being said. Sometimes the more simple forms of communicating a point will be received as intended due to less stress and intimidation. God's Little Messengers deliver powerful, thought provoking, simple statements regarding The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their purpose is to spread the Good News that Jesus is alive and will return soon to reign over His Kingdom. When the word puppet is used we tend to think of children. However, the scripts and ideas in this book are NOT just for children. You will find their established personalities appeal to all ages. God's Little Messengers can "tell it like it Really is" without being offensive. It is our responsibility to teach our children of God's love and His gift of Salvation. Jesus said, "Go ye therefore into all the world teaching them what so ever I have commanded you." This book will enable you to do just that through puppetry. Start your puppet ministry today and see the changes in the lives of all they touch. It will be an exciting, fulfilled, educational, life-changing experience. May God richly bless you and your group as you begin your adventure. I promise, you will Never be the same, nor will those around you. Madeline Burnham

Animals have been with us since the state of existence or being. The bible tells us God created the animal kingdom for his pleasure. When God created the heaven and earth and all life that exist, he obviously saw a need for animals or they would not be here. Why God created them in the shapes and forms as they were we do not know; the choice was his and as I mentioned "He chose to do so in a way that pleases him." Animals have a mind that gives them the ability to think and have feelings. Animals have a certain intelligence we do not possess such as an internal guidance system. Both dogs and cats have this ability and I would imagine there are other animals as well. God created everything with a purpose and a need; the animals kingdom is one such example. Many people believe God's purpose for animals is to serve humankind, and upon death they are to perish with no possible chance for eternal life. However, does the bible teach this? In the first chapter of the book of Genesis the bible tells us God considered the animals a creation that was very good; he was pleased with them. Many people consider the life of an animal as having a very small worth. To them an animal just lives and dies. Many people have the attitude of so what. The bible tells us God doesn't care for an attitude such as this because he values the life of his animals very much. Throughout the entire bible the information found pertaining to the animal kingdom is very precise. The bible tells us the animals are to be forever. God had this intention when he created them and this application of thought remains today and forever. The bible never mentions mankind alone is to receive eternal life. How different would our lives be without animals? There would be no pets for those who are lonely and without family. There would be no zoos for family outings. There would be no circus acts with animals. There would be no dog as a best friend. There would be no Seeing Eye dogs. There would be no animals to alert their owners of an ever-present danger during the night such as fires, burglars etc. I believe we simply overlook the fact there is a purpose for all of God's creatures. The purpose for this book is to reveal the truth in what the bible tells about the animal kingdom. We need to know God's purpose for them. The bible explains in detail God's plan for his animals even after death. God wants us to know about them or he would never have emphasized their importance in his word. Many people are reluctant to discuss the animal kingdom from a biblical point of view. I find this strange to say the least. God has included them in his written word but many ministers will say very little if anything about them. The scriptures in this book are from the King James Bible. What the bible tells us is 100% accurate and lest we never forget, God simply made no mistakes in his word. The bible is never contradictory. We will read scriptures that clearly explain that animals will be in heaven and why God wants them to be there with us. If we had the power to give our pet(s) eternal life would we want the life of our animals to be temporal? If God loves his animals more than we could ever love them shouldn't this type of love indicate his love for them is tremendous? Since we know God can give animal's eternal life could be there any single reason to give them life that would be only temporary. First we should know the bible is not dull, dismal or neutral. The bible is not an area between two extremes having mingled characteristics of both of them: a situation in which there are no clear-cut distinctions. The interpretations of scriptures have been defined several ways over the years and this has cause confusion in many churches. We will read scriptures about the animal kingdom that many of you may not know are in the bible. We will read scriptures that are clearly stated to mean one thing and one thing only, and that is, "Animals are to be in heaven." By the time you have finished this book you will have a better understanding for the purpose of the animal kingdom. You may then decide if the scriptures do indeed tell us animals have a soul: do they have a spirit: did God create them with a purpose in this life: is he going to give them eternal life? With God's help you will decide. For more information please visit: www.dutchman3d.com

The Practical Guide to Real Christianity is a long-needed explanation of the mission and role of a Christian in today's world. Using the Holy Spirit's guidance in looking at our troubled planet, this book is at once refreshing and controversial. Critical at times, always positive, but daring to bring together spiritual Christian viewpoints on such diverse issues as abortion, capital punishment and environmental conservation, the 33 chapters attempt to cover virtually all of the subjects which confront modern Christians. Touching on philosophy and theology as diverse as the "New Age" movement, eastern mysticism, Christian mysticism and the occult, this book attempts to portray God as all-knowing and as totally loving, a friend to all who seek the truth but a wrathful avenger to those who cling to the lies of unrighteousness. God here is not confined to churches and rituals, but is present and omnipotent in all sectors of our world and our lives, including our sexuality and relationships, as well as our political and ethical decisions. The aim of the book is to help bring truth to those seeking answers to the age-old questions of the meaning of life and to help them dispose of the fear, guilt and shame which have characterized the two millenia since Christ first explained the New Covenant. The key to the book and to Christian thought is embodied in Luke chapter 6 verses 27 through 42. Love your enemies, turn the other cheek. Love is the focus of this book. It makes new lives. The Practical Guide to Real Christianity is above-all a practical book, as it brings the truth of Christ to those seeking spiritual growth through an understanding of the application of Scriptures to our current world problems. This book is aimed especially at women of the True Church, who for so long have been neglected by orthodox religion. Healing the rift between feminism and Christianity is the major purpose behind The Practical Guide to Real Christianity.

From the Preface In recent years not a great deal of writing has been done in the field of Christian education theory. This seems to be true for both liberal and conservative thinkers. On the other hand an investigation of past writings will show some efforts on the part of educators in the field to find an integrating principle, some kind of motif or centralizing principle which would serve as the foundation for theory and guide for practice. An attempt was made in this work to summarize such efforts and to throw them into a comparative light with an orthodox and evangelical position in Christian education. Thus, the comparative format of the work would appear evident. A search in the first sources of these positions will be indicated in the references. Chapter One was devoted to the subject of the search for an integrating principle. The current situation in the disciple itself, in the literature and on the field, was surveyed to point up the need for this principle. Section Two of this chapter surveyed the various evidences from the history, the scholars and practice on the field. This showed who is grappling with this problem. Section Three showed the sources utilized by various schools of thought and action. The last section made an attempt to resolve this problem by pointing up the advantages offered by a revelational approach. Chapter Two focused exclusively on the concept and guidelines provided to Christian education theory and practice by divine revelation. The concept of revelation itself was defined. The chapter concluded with a statement on the crucial role that epistemology has in developing any Christian education theory, followed by a statement on an evangelical and biblical concept of revelation. Chapter Three was designed to focus attention on the implications of divine revelation for building Christian education theory. A discussion was provided on the need, nature and demands for theory. An effort was made to show the place that revelation has in theory development. An evangelical position was compared to other theories and suggestions made whereby the construction of theory development. An evangelical position was compared to other theories and suggestions made whereby the construction of theory could take place based on the premises of divine revelation. The implications of such actions have for various types of Christian schools were indicated. Chapter Four revealed the direct impact that divine revelation has on general Christian education and practice. Definitions of the educational processes necessary to operate a Christian school were indicated. Chapter Five gave attention to the implications that revelation has for institutional Christian education practice. Suggestions were made in this chapter on how to utilize the principles of revelation in the local church, Christian day schools, Christian liberal arts colleges, and the theological seminary. A survey and comparative study of this nature makes it necessary to consult many sources. For suggestions and contributions made, the writer is grateful. For permissions to use many quotations, I am grateful. For any mistakes and shortcomings, I take full responsibility. Herbert W. Byrne

Fortunate Families addresses the experience of Catholic parents who love their gay sons and lesbian daughters. The book had its genesis in a descriptive survey of over 200 such parents. It integrates results from the survey, church documents and stories so readers can access what they need most. Some readers will search for accurate information about Catholic teaching, others may connect with the lived experience of other Catholic parents. Still others will find examples of ministerial advocacy and support within the Catholic Church. Fortunate Families has all this and more. Conventional wisdom emphasizes the stories of parents who react to the news that their child is gay in verbally or physically abusive ways. These stories are told so often they take on an aura of normalcy. But there are other stories - of parents who struggle against the pressures of society and church to find and believe in the goodness of their gay child. It is critically important for parents to hear the stories of others who walked the same road before them-who have come through the experience closer to their gay or lesbian child, and who are willing to work to make the church more welcoming. Equally important is the opportunity for pastoral ministers to hear the voices of these parents and understand the need for outreach and pastoral care for gay and lesbian Catholics and their families. Fortunate Families will help prepare pastoral ministers help families come out of their isolation, work through their confusion and pain, and celebrate how fortunate they actually are.

"Even with all of the devotion to Jesus we see in the church and society today, many Christians lack a clear understanding of his most central teachings," believes Church of God pastor Robert C Buehler of Marbury, Maryland. That observation, corroborated by recent findings from evangelical pollster George Barna, motivated Buehler to write a detailed analysis of the Sermon on the Mount in an easily accessible style. Buehler's book, Building On the Rock: Practical Advice from Jesus (ISBN 1-55212-205-0) has just been released by Trafford Publishing in Victoria, Canada. It provides a provocative introduction to Christian ethics along with a thematic overview of Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7. While carefully researched, it does not encumber the reader with the scholarly apparatus of a more technical approach. "My intent was not to write a commentary but to focus on a single question," says Buehler. "That question is, how can the ethical teaching of Jesus be taken seriously in the modern world, and not merely dismissed as an impossible, irrelevant ideal? This book is an attempt to raise that question. It should serve the reader as a starting point for further thought about practical Christianity."

This book is about prayer. I realize that as a child of God, we have the victory, but many of us are struggling with strongholds that have been passed down from generation to generation, and as a result those strongholds are keeping us from living victoriously in certain areas of our lives. This book, when the principles are applied will help us to Turn Our Defeat Into Victory, and the weapon that we are going to use is PRAYER. Once we realize that behind every situation that we face, there are spiritual powers and rulers of darkness at work, and before we can tear down the strongholds that the enemy has built, we must be able to recognize who he is. The Bible lets us know in Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, and now that we know who the enemy is we can move our weapons into place, and that weapon is PRAYER.

We all know there are lots of allegories in the Bible - not necessarily in the form of parables used by Jesus. John, Luke, Matthew and Mark sometimes use a language - or rather, a "method" of story-telling - which is obviously peculiar and ambiguous. The author of this remarkable book, Sipan Khoroz, is certain these allegories, or whatever they may be called, are just cryptographic references concerning Jesus' life. Written straightforwardly, this daring book might as well be food for thought against conventional visions of Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, Judas, even Herod, and many others. Here are some questions to be answered in this book: - Why was Jesus embalmed?
- What was Joseph of Arimathea's and Nicodemus' real mission?
- Who was Jesus' biological father?
- Were Jesus and Judas brothers?
- Did Jesus marry Mary Magdalene?
- What did Judas really do before he was crucified?
- What happened to him thereafter?
- Was it really John who wrote the Revelation?
- When will the Second Coming happen?
You will find many more answers in this thrilling book, a must-read for all those who might accept or might not accept the author's views of the Bible and its encrypted pages.

From war and revolution in southern China to new beginnings in Singapore, this is a moving story of a Baptist missionary couple from Oklahoma who dedicated their lives to sharing their deep faith with the people of South China. In spite of terrible sacrifice, tragedy, and hardship, they never wavered in their dedication and gained the love of many Chinese people. Louise Hill begins with her childhood and that of her husband, Eugene, in Oklahoma during the 1920s. They first met as students at Oklahoma Baptist University and quickly became soul mates in their quest for services as missionaries abroad. Married in 1934, their mission began in 1935 aboard the ocean liner "President Cleveland" heading for southern China. In Canton, they joined a well-established Baptist Mission, which included a church, seminary, school, and hospital. After a year of training in a difficult language "the like of which I never saw," they settled in to become teachers and ministers. With the Japanese invasion of 1938, they endured the constant danger of bombing, gunfire, and soldiers posted outside their front door. How they helped feed and care for refugees in dire circumstances is an amazing story of perserverance. The Hills survived and returned to the United States in 1940, only to suffer greater tragedy, the devastating loss of their son, "Little Gene." After World War II, they returned to war-ravaged Canton with their second son, John, and continued their ministry, rebuilt the shattered facilities, and helped restore the lives of their Chinese friends and neighbors. The turmoil of the Communist Revolution soon cast a pall over their efforts, eventually forcing them to leave. Unable to return to China, but not wanting to give up their work among the Chinese they had come to love and admire, they were next sent to Singapore and surrounding Malaya (now Malaysia) to face new challenges. Unlike China, there was only a very small community of Chinese Christians. In the midst of an ongoing communist insurgency, they established new churches and schools. In 1955, after several bouts of severe illness brought on by the stress of missionary work, Eugene was offered an executive position with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board in Richmond, Virginia. Eugene and Louise worked for many years among the Chinese immigrants in Richmond and other Virginia communities. In 1980 their work helped establish the first Chinese Baptist Church in Richmond. At 91, Louise Hill still attends church today.

Have you ever wondered if there was more to being a Christian than what you have experienced in your Christian life? Is the average Christian in the average Christian church being all that he or she can and should be for Christ? What more should you be than you are now being for God? Can you really know Him better, follow Him more closely, and be a happier more content Christian than you are now? Is it possible to be "a genuine disciple" of Jesus in this day and time? What is spiritual maturity? Am I spiritual? If you have pondered questions such as these, then this book is probably for you. The author establishes the five progressive levels of spiritual maturity for the Christian straight from the pages of Scripture. You will confront the Biblical terms and descriptions of these five levels of spiritual maturity, and see where you are on the spiritual spectrum. The author postulates that there is no secret or mystery concerning spiritual maturity. All you need is the knowledge of it, the will to do what God has called you to do, the dedication to do it,- and most of all- God's promised and powerful help in doing it. You can be a disciple of Jesus in today's world. But it takes a "trust and obey" attitude, a prayerful desire, and a purposeful yielding to God to do it. This book will help point you in that way.

Christian Education case studies, theory, and mission theology Christian Education Worldwide: Mission Possible is written for discussion groups and courses on missiology. Questions are provided for reflection at the end of each chapter, and there is a glossary of specialized terms. The purpose of the book is to demonstrate that a global teaching and learning network begun by missions and now related to indigenous churches exists. It can be a valuable resource in Christian efforts to sustain peace and bring about human rights and social justice. There are three main parts of the book. Chapters on the meaning of Christian education, its history, and sketches of three key mission theologies begin the conversation. Ten case studies of Brazil, Chile, Kenya, Uganda, Lebanon, Palestine, India, Indonesia, Korea and Japan follow. Brief summaries of current Christian education projects and projections about this field in the twenty-first century conclude the study. Five forms of Christian teaching and learning are examined here. Catechesis is the process by which newcomers to the faith are discipled. Basic literacy instruction empowers people with reading and writing skills. Elementary and secondary programs, vocational and higher education help people to further expand and deepen their knowledge and abilities. Christian leadership education produces new generations of dedicated laity and clergy. The data included in Christian Education Worldwide indicate that communities of faith are designing curricula that relate religious belief to contemporary science, critical thinking and intellectual freedom. This trend should continue in the twenty-first century.
