Reggie and Gil had just gone to bed for the night, lights out. Barely an hour went by when the world changed. Reggie suffered a stroke, "I can't move," she cried. "Gil, help me!"

The idea of a manual covering sling suspension therapy initially came to me about 1974 and a few years later I decided to include amputee therapy. The principles explaining the subject of suspension therapy are described in several textbooks, but common to all is a lack of good illustrations accompanied by minimal text.
