Dogs of a Different Collar, a novel for 8 to 12 year-olds, is a story about two girls with very different life styles and personalities. Unaware of the other's existence, they each adopt a poodle puppy from the same litter. Abby has begged her parents for as long as she can remember, and finally, she gets to pick out her very own puppy. Two of the litter are irresistible, but her dad insists "you can only take one dog home." After much deliberation, she decides on the poodle with the green collar. The pup with the pink collar, the one Abby leaves behind, is forlorn until the next day when young Sophie spots her. "You look lonely … just like me," she whispers to the little pink-collared doggy. Abby enjoys the security of an affectionate family (even though her brother is a pest) and is very outgoing with lots of friends. She adores her new dog, Kelly, but still wonders, "What happened to that poodle puppy with the pink collar?" Sophie lives in a penthouse apartment in the city. For as long as she can remember, her family has moved to a new place every year. Making new friends is difficult for Sophie, and her parents are workaholics. "Rosie, you are my best friend," Sophie tells her lovable pup. Will Abby ever discover what happened to the puppy with the pink collar? Come follow the parallel lives of two dogs and the girls who adopt them.

Runaway Fever is a humorous tale of self-discovery from the eyes of a sixteen-year-old girl. Taking place in an English town, Sophie Kent lives an unhappy life with her alcoholic and abusive Aunt Louisa. Her only comfort is her stubborn and shaggy dog, Ralph, the only thing she will miss. The story begins when Sophie officially decides to leave her aunt on the last day of school before summer vacation. She wants to go somewhere else, finish her high school education, and find hope, something that she has never been acquainted with. Sophie remembers several moments from her past as she is attending the last day at Wellville High School, and leaves the popularity-based school for the "lonely road." The road is sort of a path to hope, though she is unprepared for what is ahead. She thinks of going to an orphanage, but then again, she admits it is not a permanent destination. The road leaves off too numerous places and people, each having a different influence upon Sophie. The only things she becomes hesitant about is staying in one place after she spent so many years stuck in a dreary lifestyle and accepting that happiness really exists.

Eve's messages and Feminie's responses are designed to educate teens of both genders (as well as their parents) of the magic that's hidden in the Magic Cells of all fertile females ... which, right up front, is clearly the scientific evidence that's needed to prove our female gender is not inferior to the male gender in any way whatsoever. Eve's primary goal is to inform females of all ages of the life-altering power that's in these Magic Cells of ours; her secondary goal is to warn males that it will behoove their gender to immediately cease all male-on-female abuse; and her tertiary goal is to endear herself in the hearts of young girls and older women as their beloved "Little Female Hero Of The New Millennium," thus banding us together in a totally unstoppable force!

She even has mining books that touch her cathedral ceiling and books that fall into her toy box. Penelope has a dream about becoming a miner whenever she grows up. Penelope's mother thinks that it is most silly for a girl to have such silly, silly dreams. She wants her daughter to become a graceful ballerina, a beauty queen, or a glamorous run way model. Penelope has other plans for her life which include safety glasses that are decorated with sparkling gemstones, colourful hard hats, jazzy overalls, and steel-toed boots. Penelope has an Aunt Molly from South Africa who sends Penelope many books about mining. Aunt Molly also sends Penelope birthday presents which arrive in gigantic, enormous, mammoth sized boxes. The whole house shakes whenever Penelope opens up a parcel which contains a treasure chest and a magical key. The presents from Aunt Molly are all mining inspirations. Penelope's mother faints and her eyeballs pop out of her head! Penelope's father misses all of the birthday commotion because he is gone away on a geological adventure, and later returns home with nickel ore samples. Penelope becomes a miner whenever she grows up. On the day of her graduation, Aunt Molly from South Africa arrives with pack sacks, and trunks because she decides to stay in the land of the biggest nickel, for a very long time. Penelope's mother is happy that she has worn a pair of safety glasses, otherwise her eyeballs would have popped out of her head, again. In the land of the biggest nickel, things were never the same!
