A free spirited book meant to be loved by all children. Inspired by the author's 2-year-old neice.

Review

Jamie Graham, author of "Uncle Jamie's Super Helmet Show" has recently enjoyed media attention in his hometown of Kirksville, Missouri. In addition to a book signing with The Vintage Book Shoppe, a local Kirksville book store, both the Kirksville Daily Express and TruLife newspapers wrote stories chronicling Graham's success. Mr. Graham, a hearing impaired children's author overcame a medical misdiagnosis in his Fourties and was encouraged to share his love of pictures and story writing. As a child Mr. Graham used drawing and writing as a medium of communication. He felt it expressed his ideas and feelings more accurately than speech. "Uncle Jamie's Super Helmet Show" was inspired by an encounter with his niece, Lauren Haley Brown. He is thrilled with the success of his book as he "always wanted to give [kids] all a present, and now I get to give everyone a present." In addition to being a children's author Graham is a member of the Special Olympics Hall of Fame and a Self-Advocate for the Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities. Graham is pleased to note that Joe DiMaggio, John Ashcroft and Queen Elizabeth II have admired his artwork. Jamie Graham is currently working on a new book, a compilation of three stories and his new goal is an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
