Electronic banking, computer technology and sophisticated accounting practices form the basis for this modern-day financial thriller. Andrew Dalton is a rising star at a prestigious accounting firm where, as a forensic accountant, his role is to uncover anomolies in corporate financial transactions. But this normally mundane task suddenly takes on a different tone when he discovers uncanilly similar discrepancies in the books of two different companies. Driven to take action, Andrew initiates a perilous investigation that takes him from San Francisco to Boston, Amsterdam to Bermuda. Along the way, he encounters a string of characters including an alluring but dangerous ex-KGB agent, a brilliant computer hack and a greedy megalomaniac, who will stop at nothing to thwart his efforts. Andrew enlists the aid of his ex-girlfriend Dana, and together they work to expose a clever scheme that threatens the global economy - and could destroy their lives in the process.

Never Sharpen a Boomerang is a novel about an international conspiracy to split Australia into two separate countries, which involves powerful, highly placed people in America, Britain, Japan, and China.

For security reasons in the Asia Pacific region, America wants the conspiracy stopped at all costs.

During a secret visit to Australia, a Deputy Director of the American CIA is accidentally killed on a marlin fishing boat off the country's rugged north west coast. His death sparks a chain of events that threatens to cause military conflict between America and China on Australian soil.

Dan Holland, a journalist and former editor of TIME Australia magazine, has just resigned his position as chief media adviser to the Australian Prime Minister.

But despite leaving the media and politics behind him, Holland reluctantly becomes embroiled in the separatist conspiracy and all the dangers associated with it. Holland also has a brother who is a federal politician, who becomes an unwitting participant in the conspiracy.

The skullduggery and intrigue driving the book is made even more compelling by Holland's internal conflict between his desire to drop out of politics, his patriotic duty to help destroy the conspiracy, and his loyalty to his brother.

The book is set in a political climate where there is increasing public discontent with Australia's perceived lap-dog relationship with the USA. Many Australians believe their country is becoming little more than the 51st state of America. An equal number however, strongly believe that without America, Australia cannot ensure its future independence. For them, questioning Australia's alliance with America is like sharpening a boomerang.

Much of the novel's action takes place in the spectacular Kimberley wilderness of Australia's north west, and in the nearby historic pearling port of Broome.

While touring the classical sites of south-western Turkey during the early 1980s, the beautiful American wife of a rich dealer in Middle Eastern artifacts finds herself mysteriously stranded in Ephesus, and obliged to seek help from a Scottish archaeologist who faces the even more puzzling - and graver - problem of having just killed, in self-defence, an unknown assailant. Subsequent events assume a disquieting resemblance to those in a tale, half history, half myth, concerning a beautiful and murderous queen, her lover, and the fate of Croesus, last king of the region.

Superintendent of Middlefield Schools, Colin Winslow, suffers an allergic reaction while driving home from a school board meeting. He uses an epinephrine injector device he is testing for his inventor friend, John Burns, but to no avail. Winslow collapses and dies as his car smashes the railroad crossing gates and collides with a train.

New York detective Rick Canyon is rousted out of bed by Roger Greenfield to go to the accident scene at the request of Winslow's wife, Alex.

Coroner Bill Crandell's autopsy shows that chocolate milk Winslow had been drinking was laced with penicillin, to which Winslow was highly allergic.

Glen Abner, the school district's treasurer, is arrested. He gave Winslow the milk. His motive: Winslow accused him of embezzling school funds, which Abner admitted to but did not want such degrading and embarrassing information to become public and destroy his career.

Canyon discovers that a paranoid Winslow had secretly taped all his conversations with school officials. Canyon's pregnant wife, Maddie, uses technology supplied by computer expert, Dan Hennigan, to decode the tapes to create a list of murder suspects. Canyon discovers Winslow's tell-all memoirs of twisted dealings from various school systems in which he had previously served as superintendent that ultimately revealed additional suspicious characters.

A Date With Death is a novel dealing with two former lovers whose relationships were embroiled in both lust and hate encounters after a one-night stand. Toto, a former drug trafficker, turned over a new leaf and became a reborn Christian, contributing to the building of a new Church and setting up a legitimate tin manufacturing company. Molly Tam, an arms dealer with a dark secret past, had connections with the United States Senators, Congressmen and battleships' Commanders, contravened with shipments of military hardware from the States to the Tamil Tigers in Jaffna. Molly capitalized on the only asset she knew to procure favours from the top brass in the States and enlisted the Tamil Tigers to help her evil cause. Their interests conflicted and churned into hatred, resulting in a war when a subordinate of Toto was caught trafficking in heroin, a trap deliberately weaved by his ex-lover. A continuous chain of revenge from both camps leads to numerous deaths. The adventures take the players to far-flung places in South Africa and Texas, to those closer to home, including Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

One of Molly Tam's captives, a fortune teller who raped her, was satanically eliminated by Land Eating Piranhas, fondly termed The Black Widows, originating from the thick vegetations of Jaffna.

Research for Terrorist Cove was started by Lee Heide about two years ago as he foresaw the tragic events of 11 Sep 2001. Not New York's World Trade Centre of course, but he was certain that some form of Islamic attack was about to take place on mainland America. The novel postulates a major Islamic base on northern Vancouver Island where a Master Bomber (an Iraqi chemical engineer named Orrin Hadi) has a laboratory and makes bombs to strike at American installations in Canada. His base is also used for smuggling illegal Asians into Canada and the U.S. and for shipments of cocaine and heroin bound for Chinese Triads across the country.

A small air charter company, located near Vancouver, often flies over northern Vancouver Island with parties of hunters and fishermen. They discover the terrorist base and get into trouble doing so, especially the lovely aircraft captain - Gina Marcello. Eventually the site is revealed to the RCMP who call in a team from JTF-2, Canada's anti-terrorism force.
