Katrina, Dustin and Tao all have the same things in common, or do they? True they are all children, they are all friends and they are all hanging out at the carnival together. It is also true that they are excited to see the new attraction this year. It was the first year that the dusty and tattered circus tent made itself a home at the carnival. The strange sign outside peaked their interest. It was the tent of a fortuneteller, and since none of them had ever had a reading before, they thought it would be fun and exciting.

This is where they realize that their lives are indeed different, in every sense of the word. These three children are thrust violently into their own realm of reality.

The Storyteller bring Katrina out of a life of solitude and into a world of nightmares and murder. Tao learns of his ability to create life from death through the ancient pyramids of Egypt, and Dustin must battle for his life in a post-apocalyptic sanctuary.

Yes, each of these children came to the carnival that day with their own view of the world and each other, but when they leave, none of them will ever think about things the same way again. Ever!

This novel focuses on the life of an innocent person transformed into an outlaw and a fugitive during her flight from persecution, and then subjected to a Kafkaesque legal battle by a government determined to deport her to her native land and certain death.

Superintendent of Middlefield Schools, Colin Winslow, suffers an allergic reaction while driving home from a school board meeting. He uses an epinephrine injector device he is testing for his inventor friend, John Burns, but to no avail. Winslow collapses and dies as his car smashes the railroad crossing gates and collides with a train.

New York detective Rick Canyon is rousted out of bed by Roger Greenfield to go to the accident scene at the request of Winslow's wife, Alex.

Coroner Bill Crandell's autopsy shows that chocolate milk Winslow had been drinking was laced with penicillin, to which Winslow was highly allergic.

Glen Abner, the school district's treasurer, is arrested. He gave Winslow the milk. His motive: Winslow accused him of embezzling school funds, which Abner admitted to but did not want such degrading and embarrassing information to become public and destroy his career.

Canyon discovers that a paranoid Winslow had secretly taped all his conversations with school officials. Canyon's pregnant wife, Maddie, uses technology supplied by computer expert, Dan Hennigan, to decode the tapes to create a list of murder suspects. Canyon discovers Winslow's tell-all memoirs of twisted dealings from various school systems in which he had previously served as superintendent that ultimately revealed additional suspicious characters.

Eric, a successful corporate geophysicist, faces a moment of truth about the meaning of his life when he decides to strike out on his own to search the treacherous waters around the Aleutian Island known as the "Roof of Hell", for a legendary WWII Japanese submarine filled with treasures.

The legend of this renegade sub surfaced when an ancient small jade Buddha statue with sparkling emerald eyes is discovered in the cooler of a fishing boat in the far Aleutian Islands, almost forty years after WWII has ended. The statue soon falls into the hands of Naomi, a successful lawyer in New York. Naomi finds her Japanese past shameful, and has bitterly tried to ignore it all her life. The statue jars her completely with a peak at a truth about her heritage and family she never dared think about. Learning that the statue came from a renegade Japanese sub filled with other looted treasures, she hires Eric, a geophysical consultant, to help her find that sub.

Eric, gripping the seat of the single engine plane that roller coasters its way out the Aleutian Island chain and into Dutch Harbor, Alaska, is shocked to learn that he is not just on a routine salvage job in a nearby harbor, but on a treasure hunt for a mythical submarine lost almost forty years ago, somewhere in the open Bering Sea surrounding the islands. The seas are amongst the meanest in the world, and unnamed volcanoes smolder, ready to explode on every island. Eric blanches at the very thought of searching in such a place with practically nothing to go on. It is illogic as all hell to his scientist mind, but Naomi's flashing eyes, and utter determinism, cause Eric to pause long enough to realize he must lead the incredulous search, or forever live with the dull ache within him about who he had become.

But Eric is severely handicapped. His crew and equipment are worse than third-rate to the shiny RV Meditteranean, cruising the waters nearby and looking for the same submarine. When failure becomes their only option, Eric cannot bear to look into Naomi's teary eyes, nor into his soul. Preparing to return to port, Eric learns from a crazed crew member, Frankie, of the massive tidal wave, or tsunami, that destroyed the Scotch Cap Lighthouse in 1946, on nearby Unimak Island, a place of eternal volcanic violence known as the "Roof of Hell", Eric forms a theory, just as crazy as Frankie himself, about what happened to that sub, but they must race into the waters next to the surging Mount Shishaldin, now belching ash high into the sky, to prove his theory, and then escape before the eruption obliterates everything around it, including them.

They discover the horrific truth about what happened to that renegade Japanese submarine and the men aboard, and with the discovery, Naomi learns the truth of something she had refused to believe for so many years; and Eric discovers a surprising answer to his personal crisis... but not before the Roof of Hell traps them in a maelstrom of unimaginable violence.

Hettie Lou Sayre saw him do it. Looking out her kitchen window, she saw Roger Greenfield murder Megan, his wife and her best friend. Although she did not want to believe it, Hettie knew it was Roger: she had lived next door to the couple for years, and even made eye contact with him as she dialed 911.

Roger, a high school teacher since retiring from his law practice and a highly respected member of his small town community, proclaims his innocence- but how can he refute Hettie's testimony? A conviction is virtually assured.

When detective Rick Canyon learns of the situation, he knows his long-time friend cannot be guilty and returns to his hometown to investigate the crime. But with the trial only three months away, Rick is finding no evidence in defense of his client; instead, he is running into obstacles: local police who are not too happy to see him return; a scheming and ambitious prosecutor; and an irrefutable eyewitness.

"What's going on here?" How can this woman be so sure she saw Roger kill someone when I know in my gut it can't be true?" Canyon is completely baffled by his first- and most important- murder case, but he is determined to find a way to exonerate his friend.

In fact, this tale of extreme terrorism could even be so extreme at times that there will likely be some readers that would put this book in the category of... Very Controversial!! If the reader could just take a few deep breathes and realize that this book is only a fictional tale, but also a book that would show the reader that the events detailed in the story could very well indeed become a possibility some day not only in America, but anywhere around the world if a group of well organized terrorist's seriously decided to make it a reality. The main thing to remeber after finishing this book is the fact that it is fictional... but possible to be a scary reality. SO READER BEWARE!!

From my point of view as the author, I would like for my readers to grasp the understanding that there is a Creator, call It by whatever title you like, and that everything in our world and the universes, is that It's all about change. So when change does come into your life, accept it without fear and simply deal with it as it comes along. We, humans, can make change a wonderful part of our lives, without the anxiety coming in and controlling our lives. So, this is a story of our fears, or wants, change, knowing Creator does exist, as do other Beings which, are aware of all the above said, and know their duties to Creator and humanity, and all of life that may exist that we are still unawara of, as yet. I would also like for my readers to know that we, the peoples have all the powers to manifest whatever we desire in our lives and our world - Earth! But first, we have to accept that the possibility exists, and then we have to work on that aspect to manifest whatever we want in our individual life! There is at the least, one major rule in all of exsistence, though: Love is the strongest denominator which exists, and that is what we, the peoples, must focus on becomming - Beings of love, which means, "do onto others better than we desire for our individual selfs!" This is a fantasy story of truth and fantasy mixed together to elicit what Creator desired me to evok in all humanity. This must be read from begginning to the end to to not miss some important part of the story. Enjoy, and make the changes that you know need be made for your life and those around you to become better than could be hoped. Aloha!
